Thuja or tree of life lets itself be pulled, if you already cultivate a hedge from tree of life. But you need a lot of patience until larger plants have grown from the seeds or cuttings. Also, not every offshoot will drive out. So pull Thuja yourself.

You can grow thuja yourself in two ways: Either sow seeds that you have removed from the mother plant, or you can tear off a few cuttings from it.
If you want to grow offshoots with exactly the same characteristics of the mother plant, only the propagation of cuttings remains with you. In the case of seeds there is always the danger that the fertilization has been done by a thuja species with other characteristics.

The best time to haul Thuja offshoots is midsummer. Then the shoots are well in the juice and root quickly.
However, the subsequent storage of the cuttings is a problem, since it is now usually very warm. To prevent the flakes from drying out, either drag them into a small indoor greenhouse or put a transparent plastic cover over them.

Do not cut the cuttings with a knife or scissors, but tear off the cuttings so that a small piece of bark remains on the cuttings. These so-called crack pieces are rooted faster.
