Is the wrinkled snowball venomous?
The hardy wrinkled or evergreen Chinese snowball is a decorative eye-catcher not only in the winter garden. Its striking, about 16 to 19 cm long leaves are hairy on the underside. Sensitive individuals may be allergic to these hairs.
When pruning the wrinkled snowball you should therefore be a little careful. Like other species of snowball, this plant is also slightly poisonous to humans. The consumption of bark, leaves or berries causes indigestion. Eating a lethal dose is hardly possible given the unpleasant taste.

Prevent small children from sticking the tempting fruits of Wrinkled Snowball into their mouths. They are just as poisonous as the other plant parts. Even pets should not nibble on this shrub.
