Find a location for the mallow
Although there are numerous types of mallows, they all have similar requirements for location and soil. Here is a comprehensive overview.
Requirements for the location and the floor
Mallows love sunny to sunny locations. Compared to partially shaded locations, they show tolerant. Mallow species such as the wild mallow thrive even at altitudes of up to 1,800 m. Nevertheless, the preference for planting should be given to a warm and protected from wind and rain location (especially in high-awake mallows such as Buschmalven and hollyhocks).
To avoid much effort in the care of the mallow, a distance should be taken from a peat-containing soil and a substrate with the following properties can be selected.
Tips & Tricks
Many species of mallows and varieties come into their own in beds with daisies and lupins.
