The plant may take off again in mid-May. During the wintertime, you should either not fertilize at all or sparingly every 4 weeks. Do not forget the casting! A regular check for pests such as spider mites and aphids is also recommended. The risk of infestation exists especially in dry indoor air (in winter no rarity).
After the winter, cut and repot
In order to preserve the bushy appearance, it is advisable, after the overwintering in the spring, a cut as care. Thereafter, the plant - in another intended pot culture - should be repotted. After repotting in new soil Impatiens need not be fertilized.
