The right location for the Zimmercalla
Only in a favorable location, the calla can develop properly. As a plant native to the marshy areas of South Africa, it needs a lot of light. Very few varieties are hardy, so you need to find a different location in winter.
These conditions should meet the right location
Calla likes it bright and tolerates sun well. Only direct sunlight at midday you do not get. Create shade.
In summer you can cultivate the calla in the pot on the terrace or on the balcony. But make sure that the location is not too airy.
During the flowering season the room calla needs a lot of moisture, the soil should never dry out. During hibernation, however, the earth must be kept completely dry.
Tips & Tricks
If your calla does not flower, it may be in the wrong location. Often, however, incorrect care is to blame if the houseplant does not apply flowers.
