Dockers in the lawn do not even like gardeners who do not necessarily want to care for an English golf turf. The rosettes of the edible plant grow larger over time and displace the turf plants. Dockers can best be tackled without chemicals - but with a lot of manual work.

In order to combat suds without chemicals, it is important to stop the spread of the plant. On the one hand, no seeds should be produced, on the other hand, the roots must be completely removed.
Mow the lawn frequently and keep it fairly short. Then the flowers of dock have no chance of fertilization and seedling.
Cut out the sorrel by hand
To remove the roots of dock, only manual labor helps. You must cut out the tap roots one at a time and try to pull the whole root out of the ground. Good work is done by a special damming device, which penetrates deep into the ground.
To cut out the amphire, you should choose a day when the ground is soaked with rain from the day before. The earth is then loosened so that pulling is not so tiring.
If larger holes have formed, fill them up and sow new grass seeds.
The right lawn care
To prevent the sorrel from spreading in the grass, keep the grass plants as short as possible. A half length of three to five centimeters is ideal.
Walk the lawn regularly to spot new saplings as early as possible. Pry it out immediately. Once the sorrel has settled in, you hardly get the roots completely out of the ground.
Combat sorrel on pastures
Investigations have shown that weeping on pastures can be controlled by intensive grazing by cows.
The cattle can tolerate the plants if they are not abundant. They also kick down the dock and keep it in check.
Tips
Dock can also be controlled in a chemical way. However, the soil is heavily loaded. It also damages other plants growing in the neighborhood.
