Meadow sage is anything but poisonous
Meadow sage is not poisonous, but a medicinal plant
Like the real sage, the wild form of meadow sage is not poisonous. On the contrary, the wild plant contains exactly the same active ingredients as all other sage species and therefore belongs to the medicinal plants. However, the effect is much lower than that of the genuine sage.
Meadow sage contains no toxic substances
Toxins are not present in the leaves and flowers of the meadow algae. The wild plant contains some active ingredients that provide relief from inflammation, sweating and other ailments.

Meadow sage has a milder taste than real sage. The leaves are therefore also good with salads or are used as decoration of vegetable platters and soups.
Tips
Meadow sage has a long flowering season. From May to August, new inflorescences with the typical blue-violet, occasionally also white or pink flowers form. As a medicinal herb, the leaves are collected throughout the flowering period.
