The morning glory is a magnificent wind plant, which, in contrast to the much smaller flowering fence and field winds is appreciated by many garden owners. Most gardeners pull the plants themselves from seeds, as this requires little care.
Special features of the seeds
The seeds of the morning glory usually have a brownish colored surface and are oval to oblong, but quite irregularly shaped. Before sowing, they are ideally placed for a few hours to swell in lukewarm water to accelerate the germination phase. The following factors are important in sowing:

Even harvest seeds from the plants
You can harvest the seeds for the next season directly from your own plants, if you do not remove faded flowers immediately. The short-flowering funnel flowers quickly form green seed capsules, which become more and more brownish over time. Once these appear brittle and dried out, the seeds inside the capsules are fully mature. Then pick up a plastic bag or a glass jar to get all the seeds when collecting the seed capsules. After the removal of the capsule residues, allow the seeds to dry a bit before storing them in airtight packaging.
Tips
Since the seeds of the morning glory contain a particularly high dose of hallucinogenic toxins, they should only be clearly labeled in the house and kept out of the reach of children.
