Weld pond liner - is that possible?

As a rule, films are glued. Although welding is an option, it does a lot of work and is difficult to carry out on its own.
Welding before laying
Pond foils are usually already welded by the manufacturer. That's why there is an exact order already for the order pond plan with all depths and Quäh necessary, so that the film can be produced in the exact right dimensions.
The manufacturer then welds the webs together to form a complete film. For this industrial welding methods are used, which you can not use yourself. Only then is a high seam tightness guaranteed.
Welding for repair
As an alternative to sticking in case of damage, welding methods may be used, although this is not common. When welding, it is important to work very carefully and absolutely professionally.
Can be welded only PVC films, for other types of foil welding is not possible. For a clean and tight connection you will have to work with so-called solvent welding agents.
Important when welding
One tip is to simply dissolve pieces of the film in solvent welding, especially during repairs, and then use this solution for sealing. This ensures an even better seal. Make sure that swelling agents are very aggressive and should not come into contact with the eyes or the skin.
Tips
It is even easier to repair EPDM foils in the pond by simply using liquid foil. Even with PVC films you should glue rather than welding - only exception: if you want to make your pond lining from individual webs yourself.
