Cherry tree branch is called Edelreiser
In the case of berry fruit, propagation through the offshoots is possible. In order to get identical descendants of the same variety in the cherry trees, an offshoot is not enough. You need two plant parts: a base and a scion.
Deposition formation is a type of propagation in which one to several years old shoots are derived from the shrub and covered with soil, where they are rooted. In this way, currants and gooseberries are quite easy to multiply. Pile propagation, in which the shoots cut by the shrub are planted into the soil for rooting, is the usual method of propagation for many berry shrubs.
However, in a cherry tree, a rooted shoot would not produce the desired result. Because every cherry tree is a combination of at least two plants: a base with its root system and a precious rice with its foliage. The underlay is mainly responsible for growth, lifespan, flowering and yield. The precious rice determines the taste, the color and the texture of the fruits, the frost and fungal resistance of the cherry tree.
Scarlet win
As Edelreiser one calls about 30 cm long, healthy one year shoots with Blattknospen. These are cut at the end of December to January by a strong, healthy tree, whose variety one would like to have increased. The oysters are damp wrapped in a cool place or protected from the wind in the field until spring. At the end of April, when the cherry trees begin to move, the precious rice vines are connected to the prepared base.
Grafting graft
In spring bring the well-preserved Reiser on a suitable pad by grafting. A distinction is made between bark plugs and geissfußpfropfen. In bark grafting, proceed as follows:
