If the shoots of the emerald thuja become brown, they dry up or even fall off if you examine the tree of life for fungus. To be on the safe side, ask an expert for advice.
In most cases, fungal infection is caused by too much moisture in the soil or on the shoots themselves. In the case of the emerald thuja, the cause may be that the tree was planted too densely.
Root rot is also caused by fungi. It is triggered by waterlogging and occurs on soils that are not water permeable enough. Due to the standing water, the roots can neither absorb nutrients nor moisture and the Tree of Life enters.

Prevention of fungal infestation
Make sure the floor is permeable to water. Light the tree of life more often so the air can circulate better.
If the emerald Thuja is too close to other plants, for example in the hedge, the entire stock of Thujen is threatened. If in doubt, you should remove heavily infested trees completely and so increase the planting distance.
Use tonics that are offered specifically for the Tree of Life. This makes the Smaragd Thuja more resistant to fungal attack.
Tips
Thuja emerald is particularly susceptible to fungal attack when planted as a hedge. The planting distance is simply too low here. Emerald Thuja should rather be cultivated as solitaire in the garden.
