Grow real pepper from seeds
Pepper seeds are real rarities - but be careful, if you buy pepper seeds from specialty stores or on the Internet, you should plant them as soon as possible. They are germinable only for a limited period of time.
Sow pepper
Before you can sow pepper, you need the right seed. Unfortunately, it is not possible to grow a pepper bush from commercially available dried black or green peppercorns. These spice grains are pretreated, partly fermented, and therefore no longer germinable. However, you can buy fresh seeds from specialist retailers and online. Pepper can be sown all year round, provided it is warm and bright. As a tropical plant it needs temperatures of at least 25 ° C and a humidity of at least 60% to germinate, which is why the plant is best kept in a heated greenhouse or conservatory. And so it should work with the pulling of own pepper plantlets:
It may take a few weeks for the young pepper plants to stick their heads out of the ground - if it works, after all, pepper is also a rather irregular germ. As a rule, the plant is propagated through cuttings.
Maintain pepper properly
It has already been mentioned that the pepper shrub likes it warm and moist. Otherwise, the plant prefers not full sun, but a partially shaded location. Caution is advised when pouring, because the Exot does not like very large amounts of water at once. Do not water a bit, but do it regularly. The earth must not be wet, but only slightly damp. During the growing season, fertilizer should be applied once a week, in winter only once a month with liquid container fertilizer.
