Lilies of the valley with their beautiful, usually white or occasionally pink flowers provide romance in the garden. They are not to be confused with the flowers of wild garlic nor with those of the snowdrop.

Lily-of-the-valley blossoms are in the shape of little bells hanging from the flower stalk, lined up like a leash.
In contrast to the also popular snowdrop, there are up to 17 flowers on each stalk, and in some breeding forms it is even 20. The snowdrop forms only one flower.
The flowers have depending on the breeding a diameter of one to one and a half centimeters. They can also be up to one and a half centimeters long.
