A path from bark mulch is inexpensive and relatively quickly created. However, if you want to enjoy it for a longer period of time, do not just pour bark mulch on the planned path, but create a substructure.
Have the planned way about 15 cm deep. For a good permeability and thus also for a longer durability provides an approximately 10 cm thick layer of grit.
