Pull gentian in the pot
Gentian is not a houseplant, but grows really well outdoors. Nevertheless, the perennials can certainly pull in the bucket or balcony box. It is important to look for the bucket or box a location where gentian feels comfortable.
Prepare the pot properly
Small gentian varieties like blue gentian make themselves very beautiful in the balcony box. The varieties that are higher, better plant in a bucket.
Make sure that the drain hole in the planter is big enough. Only then can excess rainwater or irrigation water drain off. For safety's sake you should create a drainage layer in the bottom of the pot.
