Why the angel trumpet can lose its leaves
When your angel trumpet drops off all its leaves in a dark winter setting, it's completely normal and not critical. You can confidently trust that it will be fresh again in spring when the light is on.
However, if the angel trumpet suddenly shows massive leaf loss in the middle of the growing season, something is wrong. As a rule, he points to a care mistake - and usually he can therefore be corrected effectively. Possible causes of leaf loss are:
water shortage
The angel trumpet needs a lot of water and can not stand it when it is dry. Especially in particularly warm, dry summer phases, it quickly happens that your root ball dries out. If it's possible that you did not pour at least once a day, they do it now. Then the angel trumpet can already recover.
Too much water is rarely the problem, but not impossible. Good drainage in the lower substrate in the form of expanded clay is an important prevention against waterlogging.

Especially if you use fast effective, but cheap and rather "unloving" multi-ingredient fertilizer like common blue seed in excess, that can do more harm than good to the plant. Wrap the angel trumpet, renew the overburdened substrate, and use a more gentle fertilizer, possibly on flowering tub or even on angel trumpets.
Too hot and sunny location
Angel trumpets like a more partially shaded location - if they get too much sun and heat, they can just take damage to the high-surface leaves. But do not put the plant in full shade as a countermeasure, but in a partially shaded, sheltered place.
