Echinocereus is hardy and suitable for the garden

Echinocereus is native to the southwestern United States, southern and central Mexico. There are not only summery temperatures here, it is often very cold especially at night. This cactus species is therefore very good with minus temperatures and is hardy.
The cacti tolerate up to minus 25 degrees and can therefore be grown well in cool gardens in the garden.
Before winter time, the cactus begins to store less water and slowly grows shriveled. Once the temperatures get warmer, the Echinocereus stores more water again.
Pull Echinocereus in the garden
