The dragon tree can be seasonally cultivated on the balcony or as a potted plant in the garden, but better results usually brings the year-round care in the middle of the living room or in another bright room of the apartment. With a few simple tricks, your dragon tree can achieve healthy growth and a stately size over the years.
The right location for the dragon tree in the room
Dragon trees like it basically bright and warm, too sunny locations with heat accumulation on the balcony or directly behind a window pane, the leaves of the dragon tree but can literally burn and drop in the sequence. Optimal locations are about two to three meters from a window, with subspecies with more reddish leaves tolerating more sun than pure green-leaved species. The distance to the window fronts also usually entails that the dragon trees are not directly on the heater. Since the dragon tree does not tolerate dry heating locations, it is more appropriate to group small green plant islands in the middle of the room.
Do not forget to repot the dragon tree regularly
Plant beauties planted in the garden bed can be more easily supplied with the required nutrients than container plants or plants in hydroponics. In indoor plants sometimes the regular fertilization is forgotten even once. It will thank you the dragon trees with a healthy growth and maybe even with a flower, if you provide outside the hibernation for a suitable fertilization. In addition, you should repot a dragon tree on average every two to three years and at the same time renew the substrate in the pot.
