Your Aeonium arboreum, called in German simply rosette thick leaf, you can multiply with the help of head or leaf cuttings, but also sow easily. Lighter and more promising is the cutting of cuttings. The sowing is quite complex and therefore more suitable for advanced hobby gardeners.

How do I extract Aeonium arboreum from cuttings?
If you would like to pull a head cuttler, then cut off a complete rosette with a five to ten centimeter long stem piece. But do not take a rosette that has flowered before, because this rosette will die off. For a leaf cuttings you only need a single leaf, which should be cut or plucked from the rosette as far as you can.
In spring, the chance for successful multiplication is greatest. Insert your cutting into a very sandy, moist substrate or into a commercial household sponge with small pores. Before you can cut the sponge with a sharp knife, then your cutting does not break off so easily. Leaf cuttings still have to look out at least two-thirds. Then water the sponge or the substrate.
Your cuttings now need a light and warm place, but they are not exposed to direct sunlight. If your seedlings have grown a few inches, you may plant them in special substrate for succulents. Protect the plantlets for a longer time (about a year) from the blazing midday sun.
