First you have to peel the onions. To do this, cut off the root end and the stalk. Carefully peel off the dry, first layer of skin with a knife. The peeled onion can now be further processed.

Juicing with a square grater

    If you want to juicer with the grater, do not cut off the stem of the onion. So you can keep these better while rubbing. Put the grater in a large bowl. Hold the grater tightly on the upper handle. Now rub the onion by moving it up and down on the grater with a little pressure. When the onion is grated, use a spoon to remove the remaining onion porridge from inside the grater. Now take a second bowl, put in a fine sieve and pour in the onion porridge. To ensure that the juice flows well, you also have to use a spoon to squeeze the porridge. Finally, you can squeeze the remaining porridge with a cheesecloth.

Juicing with the mixer

    Peel the onion. Cut the onion into medium sized pieces. Put the onion in the blender. Set a medium to high speed and mix the onion pieces for about 1 minute until a puree is produced. Put a strainer on a bowl and put in a cheesecloth. Put the porridge in the cloth and press out the juice with the help of a spoon.

    Peel the onions first. Halve or quarter the onion, depending on the size of the hopper. If necessary, place a bowl under the sink. As a rule, however, the juicers have a collecting container. Always put small amounts in the juicer. Use the onion juice as soon as possible.
