When and how is Ysop seeded?
Hyssop can be brought forward in the greenhouse or on the windowsill from February on or sown directly in the field in May. The seeds are light germs and are not covered with soil. The sowing is kept moist.

The plant is considered very warm-loving, but otherwise rather undemanding. A lime-rich, permeable soil in wind-protected, sunny location is sufficient. Even in midsummer you do not have to worry about the casting, the dryness is easily tolerated.
