A garden by the water
Water garden design
Water brings life to every garden. It is water that allows the plants to blossom and grow. It is also water that can be creatively used to enrich your garden.
The garden pond as a biotope
The classic of water design in the garden is the garden pond. Depending on personal preference, this can either be very formal or wildly overgrown like a natural pond. If you want to increase biodiversity in your garden, you should opt for the second option. When designing a natural pond, you can take a lot of nature's attention. Take a walk in the area and keep your eyes open. How are the natural ponds overgrown? What would fit in your garden? A riparian area covered with ferns and grasses provides the ideal environment for water-loving small animals and with a little luck you can also visit one or the other dragonfly. Also water lilies offer themselves to make a natural pond attractive.
Graceful: the fountain
Especially from public parks, we are well known fountains of any color, which give every pond an eye-catcher and breathe new life. Fountains are especially elegant in formal gardens, but can also be well integrated in natural gardens. Either the fountain system can be installed directly under the water surface or a stone sculpture is used as a carrier. The required pump capacity depends on the size of the desired fountain.
Intoxicating: the own waterfall
While you will not be able to replicate Niagara Falls in your garden, it is not impractical to build a true waterfall in the garden, especially in hillside gardens. The waterfall can be designed especially attractive using natural stones. You will not want to miss the soothing sound of the rippling water soon.
