Depending on the size of the pot rose, use a medium to large flower pot. A hanging variety can also be planted well in a hanging basket. Since roses are rooted quite deep, the pot should not be shallow. Choose the size so that the root ball has around 10 centimeters of space all around.
The material of the flower pot depends largely on your preferences, but it should definitely have a hole in the ground, so that excess irrigation water can drain easily. If you put some potsherds over it, then the earth will not be washed out during casting.

Pot roses like to be light and airy, even in the apartment, but do not need the midday sun. It is best to arrange the plants in such a way that they get plenty of light in the morning and / or in the afternoon, but are lightly shaded at noon.
