To grow bananas at home: practical tips
Bananas can be multiplied in two different ways. Ornamental plants pull with the help of seeds. About the extraction of offshoots grow all banana trees magnificently.
Cultivation via seeds
Commercially special banana seeds are available. Only the ornamental banana can be used in this way. After special processing of the sometimes very large seeds, you can put them in a seed pot. With sufficient heat and moisture, they germinate within a few weeks. With the help of a plastic bag over the cultivation tray, you can always ensure a moist soil.
After small roots can be seen, the procession follows in small plant pots. A special cultivation soil favors the prosperity of the tropical banana tree. In addition, the plantlets need sufficient light and heat.

Win offspring
During potting (every 1 to 2 years), small shoots can be separated without additional effort. Botanists call these kindles. These gently cut off the root ball of the mother plant. In small flower pots, offshoots feel well.
When repotting, kindles should be removed in any case. Due to the high energy consumption they need plenty of energy from the mother plant. As a result, it often ceases to grow. Accordingly, early spring, just after the winter break, is the best time to win offshoots. From April, the banana tree will start growing vigorously. Flowers and fruits are formed in older specimens.
