Sharing the lily
The special feature of the propagation of the ornamental lily is the constant spread of the root rhizome, which should be regularly divided when caring for a container plant. However, there are a few things to consider in relation to the abundance of flowers of the lily.
The right time for the division of the jewelry lily
The best time to cut the Agapanthus rhizome is in early April, when the African lily is cleared from its winter habitat. If your Agapanthus plants are regularly fertilized, then the root rhizome has displaced almost all the soil out of the planter about 3 to 4 years after the last division due to its growth.
