When is the heyday of Weigelie?
Easy care and hardy, lush flowering and non-toxic - there is the Weigelie but almost ideal for any garden. But it needs a sunny location and a humus-rich, permeable soil. Then spring becomes a true blaze of color.
In May and June, most of the varieties of weigela flower, often in autumn again. With a pruning after the first flowering you can support this after-flow a little bit. An exception is the dwarf variety "All Summer Red", it blooms continuously from May to October.
