Some species are good frost tolerant
It can not be said so flatly that daisies are hardy. There are species that tolerate frost quite well as in this country native species, which include, for example, the Magerwiesen marguerites and the fat meadow marguerites.
The well-known Alpine marguerite is due to their home in the Alps adapted to frosty temperatures and survives the winter time usually harmless. Likewise, most shrub marguerites offered in the trade are hardy.
Bring it right through the winter
For daisies to survive the wintertime, take some precautions:

Even if your marguerite is in the pot, such as on the balcony, it will not survive the winter there. It must then be winterized indoors in a 5 to 15 ° C cool place (bright!). Well suited, for example, bright attics, unheated bedrooms, staircases and conservatories.
From the end of April, the daisies in the pot can be relocated outside. In winter, it is important not to let the soil dry out, but to water sparingly. On fertilizer is completely omitted.
Tips
