A Madagascar palm is best kept in a very bright, warm location over the winter. You do not need to change them in winter.
If you have pulled the plant outside in the summer, bring it into the house before it freezes. If you do not have room to hibernate, you can easily hibernate a Madagascar palm in the dark cellar while it's warm enough there.
The plant loses its leaves at the end of the growth phase anyway, so their darkness does not mind. The leaves drift again in the following year.
Tips
