When can lovage be shared?
Lovage should be shared during its vegetation break. The best time is in late autumn before the first frost sets in after the summer. This leaves the plant until spring time to root well at its new location. Alternatively, the maggie herb can be shared in the spring. This should be done before the beginning of the shoot
Step by step
But now to work. How does sharing the maggic herb work in detail? First, the plant to be divided is excavated generously. Excess soil is removed from its root ball. This makes the roots visible and sharing can be done accurately.
Take a spade! For example, you can cut through the mother plant in the middle. Next, put the old plant back into its planting hole. The newly obtained plant, which was created by sharing, is planted at a different location. In doing so, a minimum distance of 1 m to the other plant should be observed.
