Crocuses are hardly poisonous to humans
Crocuses are only slightly toxic. They contain small amounts of a toxin, which is hardly dangerous for humans. For pets, especially rabbits, on the other hand, even small amounts can have a lethal effect.

Picrococin is contained in the tubers and flower threads of the crocuses. Consumed in small amounts, it causes no discomfort in adult humans. It is very bitter, so that hardly anyone will consume large quantities of it.
