From the mountain forests of Madagascar the Kranzschlinge (botanical name: Stephanotis floribundi) has found its way into the home living room. The decorative plant with meter-long shoots is considered to be moderately easy to maintain and convinces with jasmine-like fragrant white flowers.
Plant the wreath loop
Commercial potting soil is quite suitable for the Kranzschlinge. However, you can mix up to half clay granules underground, which protects against waterlogging. Be sure to put a drainage layer in the planter, for example, with large potsherds or coarse gravel, so excess water drains off automatically. The wreath loop is considered very toxic, so it should not be accessible to children.

As far as their location is concerned, the wreath loop is quite sensitive. It prefers a light and airy place, but tolerates neither direct sunlight nor drafts. During the flowering period, the ring should not even be turned slightly, otherwise it loses its beautiful flowers.

Your wreath will spend the winter a bit cooler than the summer. This is the only way to ensure that it blooms again next summer. From about September / October until the end of February put the plant in a room with about 12 ° C to 15 ° C. Pour the wreath loop only moderately and put the fertilizer out until spring.
