Too low temperatures are the most common cause when the Kentia palm gets brown spots. The palm is very heat loving and should therefore be pulled throughout the year better in the house.
It should never be colder than 18 degrees at the Kentia Palm site. Higher temperatures tolerate the palm very well, as long as the humidity is high enough.
Pay attention to pests
Sometimes the brown spots are caused by pests. As possible causers come
into consideration. Spider mites are recognized by the small webs in the leaf axils of the fronds. The dorsal shields of scale insects, which are located on and under the leaves, can be seen with the naked eye. Thrips show up due to excrement deposits on the undersides of the leaves.

The Kentia palm can indeed be propagated from seeds, but is usually purchased as a preferred plant. Often, the substrate of the purchased palm is not ideal, so you should repot it immediately.
