Pull a kaki out of seeds
A kaki tree can be grown from a seed itself. In the purchased fruits, however, one will search in vain for seeds. These are best bought in the trade for exotic plants.
The kaki tree belongs to the family of ebony plants. The widespread member of the genus is Diospyros kaki, which is known for large, tasty fruits. For outdoor cultivation in most parts of Germany, this species is not sufficiently frost-resistant. The summers in this country are too short and too cold to harvest ripe fruits in their own garden. Exceptions are the winegrowing areas, where kakibäume can flourish as outdoor plants. Elsewhere it is possible to keep the pots with frost-free wintering.

Sowing and germination
The purchased fruits contain no seeds as they have been bred over time. The seeds are available in the seed trade and in various online shops. Possibly.
