Hyacinths should be neither too wet nor too dry

Do not water hyacinths too much and not too little

Hyacinths bloom most beautifully when the soil is neither too dry nor too moist. Waterlogging or complete dehydration of the earth they do not like in the growing season. So you pour the pretty spring flowers properly.

Hyacinths water in the garden

In spring, when the spring flowers need the most moisture, the garden floor is usually well moistened. Additional watering is therefore unnecessary.

Hyacinths pour in the house

During the flowering period, always water the hyacinth in the pot when the upper part of the potting soil has dried out.

Never wet the onions directly with water. Pour the water only on the soil around the tuber.

During the rest period, the hyacinth is not watered at all.

Tips & Tricks

Waterlogged hyacinths can not tolerate waterlogging. In the garden you loosen the soil deeply before planting. When caring in the pot you provide good exhaust holes, so that excess water can drain.
