Watering gerberas - instinct is needed!

Gerbera likes it when the earth is always a little damp. However, it must not be too wet, because then rot the roots. Pour with instinct and never let the soil dry out completely.

In the summer often, in the winter pour little

In summer, the gerbera needs a lot of water, regardless of whether it is in the garden, on the balcony or the window sill. In winter in a cool location, however, it is sufficient to provide the plant with water at most every two weeks.

Never pour gerbera from above, but always from below. Excess irrigation water should be poured off with gerbera in the pot.

High humidity rates the gerbera very much. In summer, spray the houseplant daily with a little water from the spray bottle.

Tips & Tricks

Gerbera in the pot should be placed slightly elevated on the coaster. Then the irrigation water can flow better and does not accumulate at the roots.
