Taking into account different depths of the garden pond is especially important so that your pool does not later appear in the appearance of an oversized puddle. Even plants and fish need different depths of water to maintain the biological balance.
Land size, soil conditions, the personal taste, the desired use and of course the costs are the essential criteria when it comes to the size and thus the depth of the new garden pond. In order to keep temperature fluctuations in the pool as low as possible - which in turn has to do with the desired ecological balance in the water - the garden pond depth should be at least 80 cm, better still between 90 and 120 cm.

Since the different types of fish react very sensitively when the water is too warm, it is important to consider a depth of the pond that corresponds to the natural way of life.
