When is it time to repot the Efeutute?
The Efeutute is indeed very frugal, but at some point, every houseplant the previous plant pot is too small and it is time to repot. When is the best time to transplant? How do you properly pot an efeutute?
When should you transplant an insect?
Farmers always need a larger pot and new planting substrate when the pot is well rooted. At the latest, when the first roots look down from the planter, you should repot the insects.
It is also advisable to repot the insects if the roots have been too moist for a long time. In the long run, people do not tolerate too much moisture. They drip a sticky, poisonous liquid on the floor or underlay.
The best time to repot?
The best time to repot is the early spring. Then the Efeutute drives fresh and the plant lives faster in the new pot.
So you pot the Efeutute properly
Take the efeutute out of the old pot. Shake or rinse the old plant substrate completely.
Prune the roots by cutting off all rotten and dried root parts. If the root ball is very large, you may also cut healthy roots a bit.
Put the efutute in a new pot that is about two to three centimeters larger in diameter than the old one. Suitable planting medium is medium-sized potting soil from the hardware store.
Cultivate fertility after repotting
Put the freshly transplanted eggs in a light, warm location. Protect them from direct sunlight for the first three weeks.
After putting the insects into fresh potting soil you should not fertilize them for the time being. The new substrate contains enough nutrients. Wait at least three months for the first fertilizer.
Tips
Make sure that the pot of the Efeutute has enough large holes. Only then can excess irrigation water drain off. In this way you avoid waterlogging, which can lead to root rot.
