The right planter
Most balconies are quite small, so the flowers are usually drawn in window boxes. With very small dahlia varieties that are not higher than 30 centimeters, that's no problem.

The planter must have enough drain holes from which excess water can drain, because dahlias tolerate no waterlogging.
