The ideal location for the boxwood in the garden
Boxwood is a relatively uncomplicated wood that thrives in almost every location. However, if you plant or place the plant in a well-suited place, you will greatly reduce the risk of disease and pest infestation.

Boxwood feels most comfortable in a sunny spot in the garden, as long as it is not too warm there. High sun exposure combined with heat often causes damage to the leaves as a result of sunburn. The boxwood thrives best on calcareous, loamy soil. Make sure that it is loose and permeable to prevent waterlogging. If the soil is solid, drain it if necessary to drain off excess rainwater. Drainage is also extremely important in boxwood cultured box trees: planters must have a large hole at the bottom through which irrigation water can escape. If the soil is rather sandy, use compost and horn shavings when planting and improve the location in this way.
Tips
In sunny and warm locations, pay attention to a spider mite infestation. These occur mainly in the course of a hot weather in appearance.
