Which plants are suitable as a bedding border?

The boxwood hedge

While the very pretty variegated boxwood species are quite sensitive to frost, the green varieties usually need no winter protection.
The herb hedge

What should I pay attention to when planting?
Not only a harmonious overall picture of your garden should be important to you when choosing the beet border, but also the hedge itself. Choose plants that really feel good at the location of the hedge. For example, the Eberraute prefers a warm and dry location with plenty of sun, while Dwarf Ysop is rather robust.
Also in the care the different plants differ. Santas and hyssop should be cut back in the spring, but chives can be pruned throughout the summer. Cut it either before flowering, if you want to use it in the kitchen or after flowering, if you prefer it as decoration in the garden.

As a green bed enclosure, many different plants are suitable, especially small and weak awake.
