With various heat sources, banana chips can be conjured in no time. We reveal three practical methods. Process ripe bananas in a few simple steps.

Subject to availability, use an oven with a baking tray or a microwave. Alternatively, bananas can dry in the air with the help of a drying frame at summer temperatures.
Variant 1: Oven
The oven is preheated to 50 to 90 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile prepare the banana.
Banana pieces can be broken by hand. If the banana is too soft and soggy, a short rest of 5 to 10 minutes in the refrigerator will help. All pieces are briefly bathed in lemon juice. So they keep their golden yellow color.
On a wire grid, the prepared bananas come into the oven (middle rail). Underneath you insert a baking tray. The fruits give off excess water during drying. This captures the sheet metal. After baking, the finished sweets cool directly on the grid.

Variant 2: microwave
Cut the peeled banana into thin slices (about 0.6 centimeters). Now a dinner plate gets a thin oil coating. Then you arrange the bananas. These must not touch each other.
In the microwave they cook at the highest level for 1 minute. The bananas release moisture and become soft. In the next step you turn the chips. At this point, a taste note can be added.
At 30 second intervals, the process is repeated (dry - turn). Then the fresh banana chips are ready for consumption. They only stay fresh and crispy for one day.

Variant 3: summer sun
Requirements:
The banana slices should be between 0.3 and 0.6 inches thick. A quick dip in lemon juice prevents browning. Spices create varied creations.
On a dry grid with a food-safe net, lay the banana chips next to each other. The ideal place with direct sunlight and free from environmental pollution is your own house roof. On the second day you turn the chips. Overnight they are dried in the house. The banana chips remain crisp for several months in an airtight container.
