Graft an apple tree yourself
For many hobby gardeners, it is an extremely exciting experiment to draw a young apple seedling from a core. If it has been well cared for some years, it can be refined with a proven apple variety.

In professional horticulture, grafting of apple trees usually involves the use of special documents. Growth documents such as M9 or M11 offer precisely calculable root and stem growth and thus a stable and vital foundation for a healthy treetop. For your experiments in your own garden, you can purchase such documents from the specialist retailer of fruit trees. Mostly, however, self-bred seedlings provide satisfactory results. It is important for the approximately five-year-old seedlings that they have a straight trunk with healthy leaders.
The actual process when popping
You should cut the Edelreiser of the desired variety of refinement between the beginning of December and the end of January, when the tree has the most pronounced saffron. These are kept cool and moist until about March or April, when climatically optimal conditions for grafting prevail. For storage you can, for example, put the Reiser in damp sand or - if available - in a rock cellar. The Reiser must neither dry out nor become too wet.

This is the only way the precious rice trees have enough time to connect to the juice system of the tree. In addition, the so-called juice balance should be adhered to by grafting all the branches at about the same height.
