In a favorable location and with good care, a cypress grows 40 to 70 centimeters per year in growth, in width and height. There are also varieties in which the annual growth is up to one meter.

In their homeland, cypresses grow up to 30 meters high. Due to the bad climatic conditions in Germany they usually reach a height of about ten meters here.
Tips
If you have enough space in the garden, you can simply grow the cypress tree as a single tree. If the cypresses serve as a hedge and thus as a screen, an annual pruning is necessary.
