In the aquarium, on the other hand, completely different conditions prevail, as here usually up to 16 hours a day is provided for full light irradiation. The purchased tubers of dwarf sea lilies should not be completely buried in the gravel of the aquarium, but still clearly protrude from the substrate. For attachment to a place stones or wood roots can serve. The rule of thumb is that the water lilies in the aquarium automatically form more underwater leaves and less floating leaves when exposed to relatively strong light. Conversely, a weak lighting leads to increased formation of floating leaves. You should regularly remove floating blades to prevent excessive aquarium shading. While water lilies in the garden pond should usually grow abundantly, a particularly compact growth may be desired in the aquarium. This can be forced by planting the water lily in the aquarium in a pot as narrow as possible.
Tips
When buying a dwarf lake, pay close attention to the respective care instructions. Some varieties can not tolerate temperatures above 21 or 22 degrees Celsius. Allegedly small temperature differences can make a huge difference in the culture of water lilies in the aquarium.
