The two hybrids, Tina 'and' Pomzai ', have excelled in the bucket. They score not only with opulent flower florets and delicate fruits, but also delight with an ideal height of growth of 150 cm.

In order for an ornamental apple in the bucket to show its best side, the vessel should have a volume of at least 20 liters. Indispensable is a bottom opening as a drain with some potsherds over it as drainage. As a substrate, we recommend a mix of 80 percent potting soil and 20 percent gravel, supplemented with stone meal and compost. Pay attention to these measures as part of the care:
If your garden is in a winter-like location, an ornamental apple moves in the fall to the bright, frost-free winter quarters. Alternatively, wrap the bucket with bubble wrap and place it on a wooden block. So that late frosts do not destroy the tender buds, a breathable hood made of fleece or jute protects the branches.

The emphasis on the decorative value of ornamental apples does not imply that the fruits are unsuitable for consumption. In fact, some of the most beautiful varieties produce big, juicy apples at the same time. Classics like 'Golden Hornet' or novelties like 'Butterball' are even fresh from the tree. Most of the edible fruits can be processed into fruity compote and tart-sweet jelly.
