Do not harvest onions too soon
The harvest time for the onions depends on when they have been planted. Main harvest takes place - as with most vegetables - in the fall. A dry, sunny day in September is made for an autumn harvesting pleasure.

A few weeks before the harvest, stop watering the onion beetle in time. A dry and warm soil at the time of onion training and maturity helps the gardener to a more storable crop. The lack of moisture also lets the leek dry out.
