Mildew can be combated with whole milk

Mildew - no matter whether it is the real or the fake - is very rare in houseplants and therefore mainly affects yuccas, which are cultivated outdoors during the summer or stay in the garden all year round. However, a white, flour-like topping may also be an indication of the common gall mites in room yuccas.
Effectively combat mildew
If it is indeed powdery mildew, then you can treat the leaves of the affected yucca with a mixture of whole milk and water. Mix one part of fresh whole milk with 10 parts of water. It is essential to use fresh milk, as only this contains the necessary, effective against the fungus microorganisms.
Detect and combat gall mites
On the other hand, is it mite mites - which incidentally leave no bile on Yuccas! - then you can fight them effectively with rinse water. To do this, mix water and a few drops of washing-up liquid (eg Pril, Fit ...) and wipe the leaves of the infected plant for several days in a row.
Tips
In the case of powdery mildew, untreated milk is best: you may even have a dairy farmer in your area who will sell you untreated milk. Supermarket milk is. even if "fresh milk" is on it, always pasteurized.
