Can I cultivate a weigela in the tub?

Which weigelias are suitable for container planting?
Best suited to the rather small remaining varieties of Weigelie for planting in the tub. This includes, for example, the particularly long-flowering dwarf Weigelie "All Summer Red". It only gets about 50 to 70 inches high.
If you want to cultivate a high-quality Weigelie like the most well-known variety "Bristol Ruby" in a jar, then you should definitely use a sufficiently large bucket. After about three to four years, the Weigelie but also too big for it. Now it's time to transplant the weigela into the garden or rejuvenate your root ball.
How do I care for Weigelien in the bucket?
Freshly planted in the tub and supplied with good potting soil, their weigela does not need any fertilizer in the first few months. Later, a regular supply of nutrients makes sense. Similarly, a container plant should be regularly poured and cut.

So that a large Weigelie still flourishes well after a few years in the tub and continue to flow abundantly, you should take out the plant after about three years and rejuvenate the root ball. First you should lighten the bale a little. If it is very tight and tight, trim it a little.
