Prepare a new, larger pot with sufficient drainage holes, a bottom drain and special carnivorous soil.
Only fill the pot with up to two-thirds of substrate so that you can easily insert the Venus Flytrap.

Carefully place the Venus flytrap in the new pot. Fill up fresh substrate until the planter is completely filled. Do not press the earth too hard so that it does not compress too much.

Bring the pot to a bright, warm location. In the direct sun, you should only place the Venus flytrap if there is sufficient root system on the plant. Slowly accustom them to the sun. If necessary, spray the leaves to ensure sufficient humidity.
Pour rainwater or distilled water on the substrate - not on the plant! - until the water runs down. Put the pot in a coaster.
Keep the substrate well moist, but make sure that no waterlogging occurs. It is ideal if you leave one to two centimeters of water in the coaster. If the water has dried out, wait two days and refill with liquid.

If you need to repot your Venus Flytrap anyway, you can multiply it by dividing it right away. The new rhizomes are carefully separated from the mother plant and placed in their own pots. The offshoots need to be watered more often because they first have to form new roots.
