Too dark location
Often the Strelitzia is too dark. However, it needs a lot of light and also heat. This is particularly true of the summer time, in which they usually flourished in this country as a houseplant. The flowering time may vary, however; some Strelitzia lovers report flowering Strelitzia in the spring.
